(ANSAmed) - TUNIS, JANUARY 22 - More than 80 Italian construction companies on Tuesday met with Algerian leaders and entrepreneurs to discuss 51/49 joint venture possibilities. The event was organized by Italy's foreign trade commission (ICE) and Italy's national construction association (ANCE) following a agreement signed in December by Algerian Housing and Development Minister Abdelmajid Tebboune and Italian deputy transportation minister, Mario Ciaccia, to create bilateral joint ventures to build 100,000 new public housing units. ''Algeria needs partnerships that will transfer technology and modern construction methods, and create jobs for young Algerians,'' commented Housing and Development Ministry Secretary General Boulares Ali.
