17 January, 17:54

(ANSAmed) - CAIRO, JANUARY 17 - Turkey's announcement of sending its soldiers to Libya represents "a risk and has a negative impact on the Berlin Conference and the internal situation in Libya", said Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry in talks by phone with Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio and Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias, according to a post on the Egyptian Foreign Ministry's Facebook page.

It said in the phone calls, which took place on Thursday, Shoukry said the announcement by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on sending the soldiers "shows the intention to violate the pertinent resolutions of the UN Security Council and portends an internationalisation of the Libyan crisis".

The post was published Thursday evening, summarising statements by the Egyptian foreign minister.(ANSAmed).
