''Within 15 months from Croatia's entrance into the EU, it is essential that it uses this period of time to complete the remaining tasks, linked to EU accession,'' said Fule. ''I am convinced,'' he continued, ''that Croatia will stay focused on this goal and will continue to respect its commitments made during the accession talks.'' The main topic in today's meeting in Brussels was the European Commission's monitoring process and the questions that are still open, regarding competition, fundamental rights and justice, but also freedom and security. The next meeting between the EU and Croatia will be the association council on June 6.
After that, ''in autumn,'' Fule added, ''the European Commission will prepare a complete report on'' the country's ''progress to EU accession.'' (ANSAmed).
