(ANSAmed) - ROME, JUNE 8 - A Japanese player is the first
shot fired by Alex Ferguron in his fight to get Manchester
United to the top of the rankings in England and Europe. The Red
Devils have acquired Shinji Kagawa from Borussia, who was one of
the determinant factors in getting the German National
Championship, is now going to Manchester for about 20 million
euros. Centre-field striker, the 23-year-old Kagawa managed 29
goals in 71 matches on Borussia. Leaving England, on the other
hand, is the Dutch attacker Dirk Kuyt, who has said farewell to
Liverpool with a three-year contract from Fenerbahce: about a
million euros will be going to the Reds. Departing Turkey and
headed for Italy is instead Burak Yolmaz, the star of
Trabzonspor and recent winner of the rankings of the top scorers
in his home country: the national team's attacker is extremely
close to being transferred to Lazio, which is ready to shell out
6 million euros to have him.
More will be required (almost 30 million) to take Thomas
Muller away from Bayern Monaco, but the idea is well-liked by
Inter fans. The German attacker has spent a good deal of time
warming the bench on Bayern this year and has publicly said that
he was ready to change clubs: Inter coach Moratti will be doing
his best. Another star player on Bayern which sparks interest in
many is Philipp Lahm, the outfielder who is on Jose' Mourinho's
agenda as someone he would like to bring to Real Madrid to
bolster the wings. However, the negotiations have a high price
tag on them: for the half-back at least 35 million will be
required - a dizzying figure even for Milan's gems. The Paris
Saint Germain of Emir Al-Thani will soon be announcing Lavezzi,
but is also making a try for Ibrahimovich and Thiago Motta with
offers of 50 million euros for each of the players: Milan is
holding in there, but the stakes may rise even higher.
Thirty million euros in investment are also in the works for
Juventus, which is extremely close to taking defense player
Mauricio Isla and the centrefielder Kwadwo Asamoah away from
Udinese: they are expected to be the two men to be negotiated
for by Juventus, which after winning the Italian title is now
trying for a lead position in the Champions League. Aiming to
strengthen the defense is also Chelsea: President Abramovich
seems inclined to keep Roberto Di Matteo on the bench and is now
trying to make a play for Marouane Fellaini, the Belgian defense
player of Moroccan origins playing on the Everton team and
assessed at being worth 21 million euros.
Another Moroccan born of parents who emigrated to Belgium is
the centrefield striker Omar El Kaddouri, who is expected to
move to Juventus from Brescia soon. On his way directly from
North Africa, on the other hand, Egypt to be precise, is Ahmed
Hegazy, the new defense player on the Fiorentina team. The
21-year-old player is already playing on the national team and
has come to Italy directly from the Ismaily Sporting Club.
Didier Drogba is instead being tempted by an Arab offer. The
Champions League hero has left Chelsea and had seemed to want to
finish off his career in China, but over the past few hours
Al-Wasl under Diego Maradona's training has come forward with an
offer to bring the striker to the UAE. (ANSAmed).
