According to the Enpi website (www.enpi-info.eu), the President of the Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF), André Azoulay, signed last week a Memorandum of Understanding for collaborating in the organisation of the next Anna Lindh Forum with Jean-François Chougnet, Director General of Marseille-Provence 2013, the body in charge of the European Capital of Culture 2013.
''The Anna Lindh Forum - said Azoulay - will contribute to the European Cultural year bringing to Marseille a Mediterranean and civil society dimension. The Forum will be a major civil society gathering for facing the challenges of dialogue, cooperation and citizenship in the Euro-Mediterranean Region''.
The Anna Lindh Foundation for Inter-Cultural Dialogue promotes knowledge, mutual respect and inter-cultural dialogue between the people of the Euro-Mediterranean region, working through a network of more than 3,000 civil society organisations in 43 countries. Its budget is co-funded by the EU (7 million euros) and the EU member states (6 million euros).(ANSAmed)
