(ANSA) - PARIS, SEPTEMBER 10 - French President Emmanuel Macron called on Europe to "have a more united and clearer voice" with Turkey, prior to the opening of the MED7 Summit for Mediterranean countries of the European Union, taking place Thursday near Ajaccio in Corsica.

Macron said that Turkey "is no longer a partner".

"We Europeans must be clear and determined with the government of President Erdogan, who currently has unacceptable behavior," Macron said.

He said Erdogan needs to "clarify his intentions", and expressed his "deep desire" to "restart a productive dialogue with Turkey". (ANSA).
