(ANSAMed) - ROME, JULY 31 - The exodus of 200,000 refugees from Aleppo is ''a dramatic humanitarian situation,'' Italian Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi told RAI Uno Mattina Estate TV program on Tuesday.

The Syrian military has been pounding the country's second largest city with heavy fire for the past four days. ''The city is showing an impressive capacity for resistance,'' the minister said, adding that Italy has sent Jordan, which has opened its borders to Syrian refugees, a camp hospital with capacity for treating 100 people a day.
