(ANSAmed) - ROME, MARCH 17 - The Ducci Foundation Award for
Peace will be given to three representatives of the main
monotheist religions for their efforts to facilitate
intercultural and interreligious dialogue: Cardinal Leonardo
Sandri, prefect of the Congregation for the Oriental Churches;
Syrian Grand Mufti Ahmad Badr al-Din Hassoun; and Manuela Dviri,
a writer, journalist and peace activist who lives in Israel. The
awards ceremony, now in its seventh edition, will take place at
6:30pm tomorrow in the Protomoteca hall of the Capitoline Hill
in Rome.
The Ducci Foundation's mission is to promote the acceptance
of patrimony of thought and creativity that constitute the
characteristics of European civilization, and to promote each
endeavor capable of facilitating a greater organic connection
between the European scientific and intellectual communities, as
well as an open and constructive dialogue with those of other
