(ANSAmed) - SALERNO, NOVEMBER 15 - Prosecutors in the southern city of Palermo said Wednesday that at least 100 migrants are missing after falling out of a dinghy and into the sea while trying to reach Europe. They are almost sure to have drowned, they said.

The missing migrants were thought to have been with a group of 26 women, whose bodies have been recovered last week - the funerals will be held in Salerno next Friday.

Investigators drew the conclusions of the basis of the results of four search and rescue operations off the coast of Libya on November 3.
