ICE conference in Tunis on mechatronics, ICT partnerships

Focus on new partnerships on February 12

    TUNIS - Exploring new collaboration opportunities between Italy and Tunisia and enabling Italian companies to create new forms of partnership with their Tunisian counterparts in mechatronics and information and communication technologies (ICT) is the objective of a seminar scheduled on February 12 at Tunis' Sheraton Hotel. The seminar is called ''The strategic Tunisian-Italian partnership in the sectors of mechatronics and ICT''.
    The seminar is organized by the Italian agency for foreign trade ICE with the patronage of the Italian embassy in Tunisia in collaboration with Aidam - the Italian mechatronic automation association, as part of the European Union's PES 2 program (plan exports south). The seminar, according to a statement released by ICE, will include two parts: a conference in the morning with the participation of representatives of Tunisian public institutions including Nader Bhouri, project manager of the ministry of technologies of communication and the digital economy, Hichem Turki, CEO of Ple Technologique de Sousse (mechatronics) and Mohamed Ali Mejri, Ceo of El Ghazala (Tic); the Italian side will be represented by Paolo Dondo, technical director of Mesap Innovation Center and a permanent member of the National cluster of smart factories, Salvatore Latronico, president of Information Production District of the Puglia region and Giorgio Ventre, scientific director of Apple Developer Academy in Naples and CEO of Campania Newsteel, an incubator of startups. Business-to-business meetings are scheduled in the afternoon between Italian and Tunisian companies that are interested.
