(ANSAmed) - ROME, APRIL 20 - The next general assembly of
the alliance of Mediterranean news agencies (AMAN), will be held
in Rome by the end of June. The presidency of the alliance will
be passed from the Moroccan MAP agency to ANSA. The news was
confirmed today in a meeting held in Rome with the participation
of ANSA management - represented by CEO Giuseppe Cerbone - and
MAP (with general director Khalil Hachimi Idrissi),
representatives of other Mediterranean news agencies and the
secretary-general of AMAN, George Penintaex of the Cypriot CNA
agency.
The upcoming general assembly will focus on the development of regional partnerships and the role of information in the Mediterranean dialogue. (ANSAmed).
