A bomb blast near a Lebanese army checkpoint
(ANSAmed) - BEIRUT - A car bomb attack at around midnight last night shook the Shiite district of Shiyah in Beirut, close to a checkpoint and a café where people were watching a World Cup match, killing two people and wounding 20, according to a toll provided on Tuesday by local media.
The victims are reportedly the suicide bomber and a soldier.
It is the second suicide attack in Lebanon targeting a security checkpoint in just a few days.(ANSAmed).
