(ANSAmed) - MADRID, MAY 31 - Around 60 entrepreneurs and
representatives of public and private bodies from Spain, France,
Italy, Portugal and Greece attended yesterday's meeting in
Malaga to exchange information in the field of innovation. The
event was organised by the Technology Park of Andalusia. The
news is reported in a statement issued by the Municipality of
Malaga. The represented institutions included the University of
the Algarve (Portugal), the national association of young
entrepreneurs in Portugal, the Municipality of Faro (Portugal),
the Umbria Region, the Technology and Science Park in Sicily,
the French TVT Innovation and the Greek technological institute
Diophantus. The meeting goal of the meeting, organised as part
of the 3-year interreg IIIB project set up in 2010, was to
create technological centres in all participating regions and
organising them in a Euro-Mediterranean network as European
Territorial Cooperation Group - created recently by the European
Union - with the prospect of growing in the Mediterranean area
in the coming years.
The event in Malaga focused on the search for collaboration
between public and private bodies to promote innovation and
know-how in the Mediterranean area, in order to improve
competitiveness in the area, to guarantee growth and work to the
next generation and to protect the environment for a sustainable
development, respecting the principles of equal opportunities
and non-discrimination.(ANSAmed).
