EU commissioner Varheyli in Serbia and Montenegro 6-7/2

After announcing new methodology for accession negotiations

    (ANSAmed) - BRUSSELS, FEBRUARY 5 - A new process for EU accession and the basic reforms on which states must work to enter the EU, with special attention to rule of law, will be the focus of a visit by European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi to Serbia and Montenegro on Thursday and Friday. On Thursday, February 6, the commissioner will be meeting in Belgrade with Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic, prime minister Ana Brnabic, and representatives from the government majority and the opposition. On Friday, Varheyli will go to Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, where he will meet with the country's president Milo Dukanovic, prime minister Dusko Markovic, and delegations from opposition parties.(ANSAmed).
