(ANSAmed) - BELGRADE, JULY 2 - The dynamic in the EU process of enlargement to the Western Balkans will be kept during Germany's six-month term in the rotating EU presidency, said Vladimir Bilcik, the European Parliament's Standing Rapporteur on Serbia. Cited by media in Belgrade, Bilcik said in the first half of this year the enlargement policy obtained new momentum with the green light on accession talks with Albanian and North Macedonia, and with the opening of the last negotiation chapter with Montenegro. Bilcik said it is important that the new government and the new parliament in Serbia place the essential reforms needed for moving forward in negotiations at the heart of their activities, and it is meaningful at the same time that there is a renewed dynamism in dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina. "It's all part of the prospective Europe that we're working towards," Bilcik said. He said the Western Balkans and enlargement will be among the topics on the agenda when German Chancellor Angela Merkel visits the European Parliament on July 8.(ANSAmed). (ANSA).
