(ANSAmed) - DOHA, JANUARY 23 - The third edition of the
Qatar Motor Show will celebrate Italian-made models this year
with the presentation of the new Maserati Quattroporte and other
jewels. The luxury car trade fair organized in Doha by the Qatar
Tourism Authority (QTA) will be inaugurated on January 28 by
Qatar's premier and foreign minister, sheik Hamad bin Jassim bin
Jaber Al Thani and will be opened to the public the following
day.
Some 120,000 participants are expected at the Doha Exhibition Center during the five-day Qatar Motor Show. There is much expectation around the presentation of the LykanHypersport 2013 which can reach 390 km/h, a 750 horsepower car beating by 100 km/h the speed of an Airbus 380 jet during takeoff. Only seven models of this car have been manufactured and they will sell for 3.4 million dollars each. It took six years for the project of this power car to be completed with the participation of Italian companies Magna Steyr Italia, RUF Automobile, Studiotorino and Viotti.(ANSAmed).
