Serbia: fresh Italian investment annuonced in Jagodina

(ANSAmed) - BELGRADE, JULY 20 - Representatives of Italy's Aunde Italia Group, which manufactures automobile seats, announced that it intended to invest almost EUR100 million in a new factory in Jagodina, central Serbia, which will employ 50 workers.

Jagodina City Assembly President Dragan Markovic, announced a contract with the investor in 15 days. Company representatives toured the industrial zone in Jagodina and spoke about opening the factory with city leaders.

Aunde Italia representative Ciro Lotti underscored that this company had already cooperated with Fiat in the past, and that business in Jagodina had come highly recommended by the owner of the Andrea Confezioni factory, which is building a plant for car covers.

Andrea Confezioni factory owner Paola Tavelli, inspected the factory construction site and voiced her satisfaction with the pace at which the job was unfolding. According to Dragan Markovic, the factory should be ready by the end of August.
