(ANSAmed) - MADRID, JANUARY 8 - Spain will raise an estimated
230 billion euros in market financing this year, Treasury
Secretary General Inigo Fernandez de Mesa told reporters at a
press conference Tuesday.
He arrived at the figure by summing net collection needs, medium and long term redemptions, and the range of possible redemptions during the year. Gross bond issuance will reach 215-230 billion euros, or 7.9-13.9% less than last year's issuance of bonds worth 249.6 billion euros, but higher than the 207.1 billion euros contained in the 2013 state budget. The treasury expects to raise most of this money by selling bonds and debentures. (ANSAmed).
