Syria: 30 activists killed today

(ANSAmed) - BEIRUT, JANUARY 17 - At least 30 people were killed today in Syria, according to the opposition's local coordinating committees. The dead include two minors and four army deserters.

The committees say that 18 of the deaths occurred in Homs province and the other seven in Idlib. The local coordinating committees said that one of the dead minors was 16 year-old Ayman Abed al Hady al Khatib, who died after being shot in the chest by security forces in Fanun school in the Talbiseh district of Homs. The same source said that other people have been killed in Madaya and Qatana, two suburbs Damascus, in Daraa and in al Ghab, a suburb of Hama. (ANSAmed).
