(ANSAMed) - MOSCOW, JULY 10 - The Russian Navy convoy moving towards Tartus in Syria is part of a Navy combat training mission and has nothing to do with the Syrian crisis, military-diplomatic sources told Interfax news agency today.

The convoy, which includes the Admiral Ciabanenko destroyer and three landing ships, today left Severomorsk on the Barents Sea and is directed to the Mediterranean, where it will reach the Russian Navy's base in Tartus Port, on the Syrian coast, where ''our ships will stock up on fuel, food and water,'' the sources said.
