(ANSAMed) - GENEVA, JULY 16 - Only 50 million of the 193 million dollars the UN has requested from the international community for aid to Syrian refugees has been collected, UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) Director John Ging said after the fourth meeting of the Humanitarian Forum on Syria today.

''It's not enough,'' Ging told reporters after the meeting.

''We need more money, that is the number one priority,'' he said, adding that, of a total of 180 million dollars requested for operations within Syria, only 36 million have been donated. The UN World Food Program is aiding 850,000 people in Syria in July, against 500,000 people last month, Ging said.
