(ANSAmed) - LONDON, JANUARY 9 - The international mediator for Syria Lakhdar Brahimi believes that, in his last address to the nation, Syrian president Bashar Al Assad simply repeated initiatives already tried in the past that had proved unsuccessful. Brahimi also said that Assad was more ''sectarian'' and ''one-sided'' this time. He made these comments in an interview on the BBC. Brahimi will be in Moscow on Friday for a three-way meeting on Syria with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and US Deputy Secretary of State William Burns.
