(ANSAmed) - BEIRUT, MAY 22 - At least 12 civilians have been killed in Russian and Syrian government air raids in the north-western Idlib region after a crowded fruit and vegetable market was struck by a bomb, the UK-based monitoring group Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Wednesday. The NGO said the raid was carried out last night on the city of Maarrat Numan, south-east of Idlib, after Iftar, the meal with which Muslims end their daily fast at sunset during the holy month of Ramadan.
