(ANSAmed)- BELGRADE, JULY 9 - Representatives of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff and the Lebanese Embassy in Belgrade talked about the establishment of bilateral military cooperation and improvement of the civil-military cooperation in the Lebanese armed forces, the Serbian military announced.

The issues were addressed by Head of the General Staff Department for Civil-Military Cooperation Colonel Zvonimir Pesic and Charge d'Affaires at the Lebanese Embassy Abdel Khalek Ghassan.

The two officials also launched an initiative for the participation of the Lebanese soldiers in a regional seminar on civil-military relations and cooperation, which is due to be held in Belgrade in November this year.

The meeting is a result of the established contacts with representatives of the Lebanese Armed Forces General Staff during the participation of Serbian troops in the UN mission in that country.
