(ANSAmed) - ZAGREB, NOVEMBER 8 - A multimedia exhibition titled 'Magister Giotto: The Scrovegni Chapel' was inaugurated on Wednesday in the gallery of the Archaeological Museum of Zagreb and will run through January.

The exhibition features the Italian artist Giotto di Bondone and his masterwork in Padua, a grandiose fresco cycle he created with his team between 1303 and 1305.

Stefania Del Bravo, director of the Italian Institute of Culture in Zagreb, said the exhibition "offers an immersive experience, made possible by the contact between traditional Medieval art and modern technology".

This is the first multimedia show dedicated to Giotto.

In Zagreb, the show is divided into two different spaces, one related to artistic and theological contents in a staged installation, and the other with a movie filmed entirely inside the Scrovegni Chapel that provides further information about the historical period and painting techniques used.

The film's narration is dubbed by a Croatian actor to substitute the original narration by Italian actor Luca Zingaretti, with original music by jazz musician Paolo Fresu.

The event is part of a collaboration between the Italian Institute of Culture in Zagreb, the Archaeological Museum of Zagreb, and the company Cose Belle d'Italia Media Entertainment, which created the show.

The format aims to promote Italian culture through educational multimedia entertainment for all ages and educational backgrounds in Europe and worldwide.(ANSAmed).
