TUNIS - ''Moving Temps/5 Histoires de Migration'' is the title of the exhibit by Italian-Argentine photographer Ricardo Wetler that the Italian NGO Cies Onlus is organizing on June 18-23 at the Centre Méditerranéen des Arts Appliqués at the Medina in Tunis.

Wetzler's photos capture images of the personal migration journeys of Mohamed, Nogaye, Fahmi, Haby and Henry, with Amira Zouaoui's storytelling.

In particular, a statement released by Cies said, the photos and texts focus on sub-Saharan migrants who have moved to Tunisia, who have returned from Italy or moved within the country.

The show will highlight feelings, fears, decisions, doubts and perceptions narrated by the protagonists.

The objective is to encourage empathy to fight cultural and social stereotypes on migration. The show vies to highlight the human element in the world of migrations at a time in which moving from one place to another can be natural and simple while prejudice and blindness too often draw attention away from the human being. Moving Temps/5 Histoires de Migration'' is part of an awareness campaign on migration within the project Pinsec ''Youths, women, migrants: a process of social and economic inclusion in Tunisia'', a cooperation project co-funded by the Italian agency for cooperation and development (Aics) and carried out by the Center for information and education to development (Cies), in cooperation with the Tunisian union of social solidarity (Utss) and local and Italian partners.

Institutional partners of the event, that will be inaugurated on June 21, are the embassy of the Argentine republic in Tunisia and the Italian Cultural Institute in Tunis. (ANSAmed)
