Two-phase reopening for cultural events

    (ANSAmed) - TUNIS, JUNE 1 - Tunisia's two most important summer cultural fests - the International Festivals of Carthage and Hammamet - will be postponed to 2021, the culture ministry said in a statement announcing the reopening of cultural events in two phases.

    After a meeting with members of the scientific commission for COVID-19, several healthcare security measures were decided as cultural activities will be resumed. As of June 14, indoor cultural venues can reopen provided they limit visitors to a maximum of 30 at a time. Outdoor performances will be allowed to resume as of July 15 with a maximum of 1,000 people. Measures to contain the spread of the virus will make it mandatory for the public to wear masks, maintains social distance and gather in groups of maximum 30 people. The ministry added that a protocol will be followed to resume cultural events and authorities will monitor this phase to ensure that rules are respected. (ANSAmed)
