TUNIS - The startup Digital cultural eXperience has launched, though a new digital application, the possibility of carrying out a virtual tour of seven locations listed as world heritage sites by UNESCO in Tunisia.

The application at the link, https://culturedigitale.co/index.php/patrimoine-mondial-en-tunis ie, offers the opportunity of getting to know the Tunisian historic heritage to encourage a visit to archaeological and cultural sites and the precious historic locations of the North African country and to share them with others, the startup said in a note.

The new application allows the virtual visit of the world heritage sites in Tunisia thanks to an interactive map and 360-degree photos, and offers visitors a trip through time and space from Carthage to El Djem, Kerkouane, Dougga, Tunis, Sousse and Kairouan. The app was developed in close collaboration between the startup Digital Cultural eXperience and the Agency for the promotion of cultural heritage and development in cooperation with UNESCO and the Tunisian national heritage institute (Inp).

The startup Digital cultural eXperience was created in 2018 to raise the public's awareness on the importance of Tunisian heritage and it has already developed an application to publicize the website of Carthage (Carthage VR).
