Italy's debt hits record high of 133.3% in 2nd quarter

Up from 130.3% in first three months of year

    (ANSAmed) - BRUSSELS, OCTOBER 23 - Italy's public debt hit a record high of 133.% of gross domestic product in the second quarter of 2013, compared to 130.3% in the first three months of the year, Eurostat said Wednesday. The EU's statistics office said Italy's debt was the second-highest in the union with respect to GDP after Greece's, which stood at 169.1%.(ANSAmed).
