(ANSAmed) - CATANIA, JANUARY 22 - The president of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani on Tuesday said that ''in 2050 in Africa there will be two billion and a half inhabitants: if problems aren't solved today, we will not have one hundred, one thousand people who will be moving from Africa towards Europe but millions of people. At that point interventions, the closure of ports and even the strongest army in the world will be useless..''.

Tajani was attending a meeting in Catania called ''Sicilia 2030: ripartiamo da un Piano per le infrastrutture'' (Sicily 2030: let's re-start with a plan for infrastructures).(ANSAmed).
