BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, speaking on private broadcaster Prva on Friday morning, highlighted the excellent health of the Serbian economy and the significant progress made by the Balkan country in terms of public accounts and financial recovery.

Vucic said the country isn't stopped but rather is moving forward quickly, with GDP growth of 4% - one of the highest in Europe - and unemployment under 10%, down from 25% just a few years ago.

He said public debt is in a continual decline, investments are growing at record levels, and salaries and pensions are at the highest levels the country has ever seen.

Vucic said trust in the country's economic system is shown by the fact that the flow of foreign investments is continually increasing, and a new factory is inaugurated practically every day.
