NAPLES - Spain has resumed work after the COVID-19 crisis to improve its port logistics with a new container terminal at the Santander port and infrastructure work at the new central pier in the Bilbao port.

The Santander port has issued a call for tenders that expire on September 14 for the building of a new container terminal at the northern pier of Raos.

Between January and May, the port saw a 59.65% increase compared with the previous year despite the COVID-19 crisis.

The Bilbao port has instead assigned the contract for infrastructure works on its central pier to a temporary collaboration between Lantania and Iza Obras y Promociones.
