(ANSAmed) - SARAJEVO, SEPTEMBER 4 - The Italian Embassy in Sarajevo and the Contemporary Art Museum of Republika Srpska are sponsoring a show titled "Italy: (In)visible Tales", which will be inaugurated at the museum in Banja Luka on September 12. The show is focused on folk tradition as an intangible part of Italian heritage, which includes living traditions and expressions passed down from ancestors, objects, rituals, handicrafts, practices, and ceremonial events.

The show, which runs through October 18, will present the works of 15 contemporary Italian artists through audiovisual sections that showcase heritage including famous processions, traditional Italian cooking and music.

Prior to arriving at the museum in Banja Luka, the show went on display in Yerevan, Armenia as well as in Argentina and Chile.

The stop in Bosnia-Herzegovina highlights the traditional friendship between Italian and Bosnian popular culture.

Following its stop in Banja Luka, the show will travel to Mostar.

The inauguration marks the opening of the 7th "Season of Italian Culture" in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and is hosted by the Contemporary Art Museum of Republika Srpska as part of European Heritage Days, which Republika Srpska is participating in for the 11th time.

The project is sponsored by Glocal Project Consulting in collaboration with the Museum of Roman Civilization, and is under the patronage of UNESCO.(ANSAmed).
