06 February, 18:28

(ANSAmed)- BELGRADE, FEBRUARY 6 - Sixteen large projects have so far been identified in Serbia that refer to energy, construction and transport and whose completion would mitigate pollution and climate change significantly, according to what was said on Monday at a meeting on priority national activities meant to increase energy efficiency and combat climate change. A total of 2.3 billion Eur should be invested in those projects, and they would be completed by 2020 if the funds are secured, participants of the meeting at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) stated. Speaking about the priority national projects to reduce climate change, State Secretary for Environment Ivica Radovic said they were very important in preparing Serbia to join the EU. (ANSAmed)
