Earthquake measuring 4.3 hits central Greece

Felt distinctly in some areas of Athens

    (ANSAmed) - ATHENS, FEBRUARY 6 - An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale was recorded Thursday morning shortly before 10 AM local time (9 AM in Italy) in the Amfiklia area of central Greece. It was felt distinctly as far away as several areas in Athens. According to the the Euromediterranean Institute, the epicenter was 115 km north-west of the capital and the ipocenter at a depth of 5 km. Material damage or casualties have been reported.
