(ANSAmed) - MADRID - Madrid's Teatro Real has opened its doors to flamenco, with a permanent new space for the well-known Spanish music genre. Starting on November 28 and in cooperation with So-La-Na, the Madrid opera will host in its Salon de Baile, every other Wednesday, 18 shows of flamenco songs and dances in the Flamenco Real festival until July 17, 2019. During the presentation at Teatro di Plaza Oriente, the producer and artistic director of the festival, Aurelio Solana, the performing artist Antonio Canales and Teatro Real director Ignacio Garcia Belenguer said that it is a ''pioneer initiative'', since ''it will create a warm and fostering space'' for this type of artistic production, with well-known singers and dancers.

The shows will be preceded by the chance to try typical Spanish products and 'meet and greet' events for those who would like to get to know stars in the flamenco world. (ANSAmed).
