World migration conference in Bari with 570 speakers

From 60 nations to discuss xenophobia, refugees, discrimination

    (ANSAmed) - BARI - The University of Bari will from June 18 until June 20 be hosting the largest international academic event on migration issues. About 570 speakers from 60 countries will be taking part in The Migration Conference 2019.

    The event has previously been held in London, Prague, Vienna, Athens and Lisbon.

    This is the first year it will be held in Italy and will receive the Medal of the President of the Republic. The three days will include over 150 parallel sessions during which migration as a phenomenon will be discussed from an interdisciplinary standpoint, with speeches centering on issues such as Brexit, refugees, xenophobia, discrimination and the economic impact of migration.(ANSAmed).
