(ANSAmed) - BEIRUT, SEPTEMBER 19 - Fighting between jihadist militias and Syrian rebels trying to oust the ruling regime has resumed north of the Syrian city of Aleppo, Al Arabiya pan-Arab TV cited the opposition Free Syrian Army (FSA) command as saying Thursday.

FSA brigades went on a counter-offensive today in an effort to reconquer the town of Azaz, which is located between Aleppo and the Turkish border and which it lost yesterday to an al-Qaeda linked outfit calling itself the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS).
