(ANSAmed) - ROME, FEBRUARY 4 - The Moroccan town of Dakhla
and the Italian town of Liveri in Naples province signed a
twinning agreement on Tuesday in Morocco.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Dakhla town council chief Sloh Jummani and Liveri mayor, Raffaele Coppola.
The accord aims to reinforce cooperation and interchange of economic, cultural, and tourism-related experiences between the two cities, authorities said in a note.
''This twinning comes under the aegis of the efforts of Moroccan immigrants residing in Italy, who have worked to bring the Moroccan people and the Italian people closer'', Coppola said. The accord will allow the Moroccan city to benefit from Italian expertise on both the tourism and cultural level, said Jummani. (ANSAmed).
