(ANSAmed) - RAMALLAH, MAY 20 - A bistro entirely dedicated to
Nutella, Italy's celebrated hazelnut chocolate spread, opened
recently in the West Bank capital of Ramallah, just steps away
from the centrally located Al-Manara Square.
''We came up with the idea while indulging a Nutella craving one night'', Nutella Shop co-founder Arine Rinawi, who opened the new delight central with partner Fouad Ghazi al-Bazzar, told ANSAmed.
''Ramallah we have cafés, bars, and restaurants, but no place to have dessert with family and friends''.
The menu ranges from Nutella-laced crepes and cheesecake to pizza and nachos. But the piece de resistance of the bistro, which opened 50 years after Italian manufacturer Ferrero first rolled Nutella out in 1964, is Nutella Kebab, or a gigantic block of chocolate replacing the meat on the spit.
Ferrero's trademark red-and-black Nutella logo stands out all over the bistro's pristine white interior. Asked whether they coordinated with the parent company, which is based in the northern Italian town of Alba, Rinawi glossed over the issue.
''We're working on it'', she said diplomatically. (ANSAmed).
