Greece: 4.9 magnitude earthquake hits Limnos island

    (ANSAmed) - ATHENS, SEPTEMBER 5 - A powerful 4,9 magnitude earthquake shook the Greek island of Limnos on Thursday night as GreekReporter online writes. The epicenter was located beneath the seabed about 29 kilometers northwest of Limnos and 259 kilometers northeast of Athens. There are no victims or damages reported. In January, a series of strong earthquakes on the western island of Kefalonia damaged hundreds of homes and injured more than a dozen people.(ANSAmed).
