(ANSAmed) - ATHENS - Violent clashes erupted in Athens in the vicinity of the Politechnic Thursday evening: a group of some 300 people, believed to be close to anti-establishment groups, confronted the police, said security sources. The incidents took place at the end of a protest march directed to the Parliament. Some demonstrators smashed the windows of a bank as well as other shop windows and hurled petrol bombs putting waste containers and a car on fire.
