(ANSAmed) - CAIRO, MARCH 30 - Libyan Premier Abdullah al Thani based in Tobruk - who is internationally recognized as the head of government but is destined to hand over power if talks for a national unity government will be successful - has announced that ''Libya will ask the Arab League for intervention in Libya to restore legitimacy as in the case of Yemen''.

The statement was made during an interview with Al Arabiya Al Hadath, a television channel of the Saudi broadcaster, in which al-Thani claimed that Yemen has the same problems as Libya and wondered why ''it is impossible to support legitimacy in Yemen and not do the same thing in Libya''.

After all, the premier continued, as UN talks in Morocco are ongoing, ''resolutions of the Arab summit'', which wrapped up yesterday, ''are all in Libya's interest''. (ANSAmed)
