Turkish police arrest 93 in anti-ISIS raid

82 apprehended in Istanbul, due to go to Syria shortly

    ISTANBUl - Turkish police on Friday carried out a new operation against ISIS cells in the country after arresting over 150 people on Thursday in the capital Ankara. Friday's raid led to the arrest in Istanbul of 82 alleged foreign fighters with experience in jihadi conflict zones. Investigators say the suspects intended to travel to Syria shortly. Also on Friday 11 alleged ISIS affiliates from Syria were arrested in a separate operation in Adana, southern Turkey.
