Syria: civil protection, nine killed in raid on Ghouta

Including family of eight with five children and teens

    BEIRUT - At least nine civilians were killed in the early hours of government and Russian air raids on Ghouta, the besieged area east of Damascus which is now only partly controlled by anti-regime militants, local civil protection sources said Wednesday.
    According to the sources, a family of eight people, including five children and teens, were killed in Zamalka.
    A civil protection rescuer was killed in raids attributed to Russia. The report can't be independently verified on the ground.
