(ANSAmed) - ISTANBUL, OCTOBER 10 - Turkish security officials said Saudi Arabian journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who disappeared eight days ago after entering the Saudi consolate in Istanbul, was killed and dismembered with a bone saw by a team of Saudi agents at the consolate, the New York Times reported.

It said a Turkish official compared the episode to the film Pulp Fiction.

Sources reported Khashoggi's body was brought out of the consolate and hidden in a black minivan.

Meanwhile, pro-Turkish government private broadcaster Kanal 24 showed the last images of the Saudi journalist as he entered the consolate, as well as images of a black van that left shortly thereafter, maintaining that Khashoggi's body was inside the van.

It said the van traveled about two kilometres and then parked in a garage at the Saudi consul's residence.

The Saudi government maintains that Turkey's accusations are "baseless".(ANSAmed).
