Bosnia alarmed over 70,000 migrants ready to leave Greece

19 February, 19:45

(ANSAmed) - SARAJEVO, FEBRUARY 19 - Bosnian Security Minister Dragan Mektic said there are about 70,000 migrants ready to depart Greece for countries in western Europe, which is concerning to Bosnia given the possibility that a large majority of those migrants may try to reach Europe through the Balkan route.

Mektic said the daily migrant flow from Turkey to Greece is about 300 migrants, an alarming situation that exposes Bosnia-Herzegovina to serious problems.

He confirmed that five migrants linked to international terrorism who had illegally entered Bosnia were stopped.

He said the country is seeing a growing number of crimes, mainly burglaries, committed by migrants.(ANSAmed).
