Moroccan doctors resign in mass in Tangiers

In protest against 'catastrophic' situation in healthcare

    RABAT - Some 305 public sector doctors in the Tangiers region in norther Morocco have resigned in mass.

    The collective resignations were sent in a letter through the trade union to protest the ''catastrophic situation'' of the healthcare sector. The doctors say that the current situation ''does not meet minimum scientific criteria for the exercise of the profession, nor the expectations of citizens or international standards''.
