(ANSAmed) - BEIRUT, MAY 15 - Syrian anti-regime armed opposition groups that have been facing a Russian and regime offensive in the northwestern part of Syria have just received military supplies from Turkey, Syrian media reported on Wednesday. These supplies include anti-tank rockets to use against Syrian troops. The Syrian opposition sources were quoted in an exclusive by Enab Baladi, one of the most authoritative Syrian media sources on what is happening in the northwestern part of the country.

A ceasefire in the region was agreed in September 2018, with Turkey and Russia as guarantors. Turkey has soldiers and observation posts in Idlib and near the region. Russia is supporting the Syrian regime offensive along the frontline between Hama and Idlib and conducting airstrikes in other parts of the region. Among the opposition groups present in Idlib are ones close to Turkey and ones linked to al-Qaeda. (ANSAmed).
