61 migrants rescued, Libyan coast guard

30 miles off Tripoli, treated by IOM and UNHCR

    CAIRO - Libya's coast guard said on its Facebook page and on Twitter that on Thursday it ''rescued 61 migrants aboard a dinghy some 30 nautical miles north of Tripoli''. ''Medical and paramedical assistance'' was provided to the migrants by the Libyan chapters of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the UN refugee agency UNHCR, according to the post published late on Thursday, which added that the 61 were taken to the hosting center of Tajura, an eastern district of Tripoli.
